We must feel happy that God has kept as alive and Govt is feeding

Dear postal fraternity,

     I am saddened to knew that some section of Postal staff are talking loosely and  negatively about freezing of future DA for 18 months, without understanding the situation on the ground due to spread of Most dangerous Covidvirus war.

     At the out set all should be aware of huge impact on  Govt financial situation due to reduction in revenue generation.No taxes is coming to govt since one month including Income from export to foreign countries.But day by day expenditure of govt is ever increasing.We are well aware that no Government on the earth can neglect  expenses on defence, health, police and many more for a country to survive and run. 

         Unlike many countries the present Govt is making all out efforts to save each and every precious life affected and likely to be affected by this invisible enemy of mankind Caronaviras. Therefore  there is every possible increase in the amount spent for handling Covid pandemic by the government.

     In addition Government as a package has already paid more Rs170000 Crores for farmers, daily wagers and other weeker section of society including Social security to poor people who constitute nearly 40 to 50%of total population who do not have regular assured income.This amount may further increase. The Food Subsidy Bill alone is estimated to reach 1.69 lakh crore in the  financial year. 

   Further their is large small and medium enterprises whose business has stopped for last one month.Govt should provide some package to them because they generate huge employment.    Nobody knows what's the future of Caronaviras pandemic situation and how long it continue its octopus stretch effect. At any cost it's effect will be there for another one year.  Further there is already prediction that  Society will be hit hard due to loss of jobs in many private sector in near future. This is likely tobe high in Tourism, Transport, Hotel Industry, Film field etc.

    Do we aware how much this will have impact on Financial position of Govt and personal and social life of people. We cannot imagine it's large scale effect on our own friends, relatives. 

     Now it's better to understand that central Govt employees are just less then 1% of total population.It is estimated that the salaries of the Central Government will be nearly 1.66 lakh crores two years back. . At the same time, pension expenditure was around 1.68 lakh crores .Govt is spending nearly 7 to 8% of the total GDP on 1%of population. So we are lucky that our sacrifice is Very limited in comparison to other section of society compared to amount Govt spending on our salaries and pension.

   Even well advanced wealthy western countries with rich resources and less population is facing heat and started strict financial discipline.

     So don't create panic. Don't spread fear and rumours. All will be safe as long as Govt is safe and functioning.  It's high time all right thinking Nationalist employees should think positively and extend all help and support to Govt to restore Health and wealth of Nation and it's people.

     Each one should become a soldier of Nation building and protect our future and also our future generation.
